Llama Theme Gender Neutral Baby Shower Theme
The baby shower had llama decorations and a llama cake. The room was filled with love for the mom-to-be. It was a gender-neutral theme. Baby showers are one of my favorite events to design.
A baby shower is still about mom before it’s all about the baby. Once the baby arrives, they’re the focus as they should be! I had so much fun designing this llama baby shower for Ro and her daughter, Monica. We explored a boho-chic, balloon-o-rama, and succulents llama theme ultimately settling on balloons as you can tell!
Even though Monica knew her baby's gender from her gender reveal, we wanted a neutral shower, so I created several gender neutral baby shower ideas. The llama baby shower theme is great for any season whether it's a winter or summer baby shower.
We played around with color schemes, but ultimately, the color palette was a light blue, mint green and white. Whether you're having a boy or a girl, they're fun, bright colors. Plus, llama cactus themes are so in right now!I love to set the theme with baby shower invitations, so we applied our color scheme to the shower invitation. I added pops of black to tie in the black chairs at the venue. Also, when you typically think of balloon runners, you think of rectangular tables.
However, I created a beautiful zig-zag pattern with balloon runners that I created with Chrissy B Creative. I’ve created balloon runners on my own before, but working with Chrissy B Creative is always so much easier!I love circular tables because they foster great conversation among guests. I found it particularly important here because we did not assign seats.
Usually, I love to have a place card at everyone’s seat. However, with a baby shower of over 60 people, it was necessary. My two favorite guests in appearance were mom-to-be’s 90-year-old grandparents. How sweet is that?!
I sprinkled intricate details throughout the shower, but some of my favorites were the plates from Harlow & Grey and the menus I personally created using supplies from Paper Source.
Of course, I had champagne labels, too! If you know me, you know champagne labels are my favorite decor item to mix in. I used them on all wine and champagne bottles as well as the favor boxes.
With such a decadent sweets table, grandma-to-be and I opted for sweets takeaway boxes as the favor so guests could create a box to go.
Shower favors are tricky. I love to create shower favors that are useful for baby shower parties. I often try and use food or decor that can double as a favor. For this party, the sweets table was too good not to share!
Sweets tables are so pretty, but if not used appropriately, the food could go to waste. By making the sweets a baby shower favor, we utilized the sweets as a treat AND a favor! Plus, the llama baby shower cake was super eye-catching. Of all of the llama baby shower decorations, it was the greatest show stopper.
Then, we had fun little prizes for the baby shower games.

Neutral baby shower decor is a popular choice for parents who want to keep the gender of their baby a surprise or simply prefer a more gender-neutral theme. When it comes to planning a neutral baby shower, there are plenty of creative and stylish options to choose from.
One popular theme for a neutral baby shower is the llama theme. Llamas are adorable and versatile animals that can be incorporated into various aspects of the decor. From llama decorations to a llama cake topper, these cute creatures add a touch of whimsy to the celebration. The color palette for a llama-themed baby shower can include light blue, mint green, and white, which are fun and bright colors suitable for both boys and girls.
Another option for neutral baby shower decor is a boho-chic theme. This style embraces natural elements, such as succulents and balloons, to create a relaxed and earthy atmosphere. Balloon runners can be arranged in a zig-zag pattern to add visual interest to the tables, while succulents can be used as centerpieces or as part of the overall decor. The boho-chic theme is perfect for any season and can be customized to suit the preferences of the parents-to-be.
Neutral Baby Shower Decorations
When it comes to color schemes for neutral baby shower decor, it's important to choose colors that are not traditionally associated with a specific gender. Neutral colors like beige, gray, and yellow can create a soft and elegant ambiance. These colors can be incorporated into the table settings, invitations, and other decorative elements.
In addition to the overall theme and color scheme, it's important to pay attention to the small details that make a baby shower memorable. Personalized champagne labels, unique party favors, and charming table settings can all contribute to the overall ambiance of the event. It's also a good idea to consider the practicality of the decor. For example, using the sweets table as a baby shower favor allows guests to enjoy the treats during the event and take some home as a memento.
In conclusion, neutral baby shower decor offers a wide range of possibilities for creating a stylish and memorable celebration. Whether it's a llama theme, a boho-chic style, or a combination of different elements, the key is to choose colors and decorations that are gender-neutral and reflect the personal style of the parents-to-be. By paying attention to the small details and incorporating practical elements, a neutral baby shower can be a truly special and enjoyable event for everyone involved.
